What are your deposit and cancellation policies?

A  50% deposit on the total rental rate is due at the time of booking. Balance will be due 30 days prior to arrival and will be automatically taken with the credit card on file.

Cancellations made 30 or more days prior to arrival date will receive a refund of deposits, minus $100 cancellation fee. There are no refunds for cancellations made within 30 days prior to arrival.

There are no refunds for early departures, personal emergencies, or weather-related items. Do you have minimum night stay requirements?

During March through September there is a 7-night Saturday to Saturday stay requirement.  October through February there is a 4-night minimum stay requirement.

Is the accommodations pet friendly? 

We cannot accommodate pets at this time. If guests violate this policy, a fee will be applied and guests will be ask to move animals to a kennel or depart premises and forfeit all monies without refund to guest. We do welcome service animals and kindly ask that you inform us before your arrival if you have a service animal. Please note that emotional support animals are not allowed. 

What are the check-in procedures?

Check-In for the Village at Palmetto Dunes is at their on-site office located at 10 Trent Jones Lane, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926. Office Hours: Mon-Fri 9am – 6pm; Sat 9am – 7pm ; Sun 10am – 4pm.

*After hours arrival please call The Village at Palmetto Dunes Office during business hours at (843) 842-4649 for Night Box Code. If checking in after hours, please remember to stop by the office the next day to register.

*Please keep in mind that Palmetto Dunes Resort does not permit the entrance of trailers, motor homes, motorcycles, or recreational vehicles including wave runners and boats.

 

What is included with our accommodation?

  • All rentals are supplied with linens and towel sets based on the property’s maximum number of occupants. All rentals come with starter supplies such as soap, kitchen detergent, paper towel, toilet paper, trash bags, and laundry detergent. Plan to purchase more based on your needs and stay length.

  • Two car passes are included in your reservation. Please inquire with our front desk if you need additional passes. There is no assigned parking. Parking is on a first come first serve basis.

 

What should I bring on my vacation?

  • Beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas – We do not include beach chairs, towels or other pool and beach accessories. Several of these items can be purchased at the local grocery stores. There are companies that rent these items out such as Shore Beach Services or Hilton Head Outfitters at 843-593-9110.

  • Grocery items if you plan to cook in the accommodations.

  • Personal toiletries (toothpaste, shampoo, etc.) – those are not provided.

Can you bring portable grills? 

Local fire codes do not permit grills on balconies or decks of units. There are grills in the picnic area on the lagoon side.

 

Can we rent cribs or additional beds?

Can we rent bikes through Hilton Head Accommodations? 

We do not rent bikes; however, bike rentals are available at Cross Island Bike Rentals: 843-384-7371 or Hilton Head Outfitters: 843-593-9110.

Is smoking allowed? 

Our accommodation is non-smoking.

When is the pool open? 

The resort pool is open all year round.
